first hike of the year. im pretty uh exhausted but it was totally worth it. there aren’t many things better than hiking to the top of a mountain, building a fire and chowing down on camp food with some buddies.

next week we’re bringing bacon.

the first outing of the year is always the hardest cause you’re out of shape and not used to the steady march upwards anymore. i guess it doesnt help if you’ve spent a few months unable to go hiking at all anyway cause you screwed up your knee in october…

last year we managed all three peaks in under three hours. today the whole hike took us 6 or 7. a little off pace but whatever. how many people can say they cooked their own lunch on top of a mountain today? not many.

ok, im about tapped out, so, bedtime.

4 Thoughts.

  1. “I’m sorry man I got wood”
“We wouldve won the race if you werent so busy going bbbbrrrrnnnnngggg! Dolphin Boy!!”

  2. The Second Peak of the Stawamus Chief, drive towards Squamish, pull off at the Shannon Falls picnic area, follow the trail markers, don’t fall down the side of the mountain, and not that big. unless you plan to gravely injure yourself.
