over the weekend we went to Fairmont to get away from… well, I can’t rightly say ‘the city’ because you don’t really go to the mountains to get away from Sylvan… so we went to the mountains because we could and because we had a log weekend. don’t worry my BC friends, you’ll get it next year.

I went with the intention of taking lots of pictures. I didn’t take lots, but you can see them all here.

we went for dinner at a Bavarian Schnitzel Haus in Invermere and we had  a german waiter who we assumed was gay because he had gay german voice. this led us to speaking in hushed gay german voice for the course of our meal. and he drive back to the cabin. and part of the next day. I said his name was Hans while Aimée insisted it was Fritz. so did not look like a Fritz. so did look like a Hans.

I have absolutely no basis to go on what a Hans looks like other than maybe plural Solos? but he was a Hans.

And can someone tell me what Bavarian Hardware is? Is it like a niche Home Hardware that sells material needed to make something ending in Haus? Like, if there were Bavarian Home Hardwares around here, we’d have had to watch Little Haus on Der Prairie. TV fans would be watching Haus, M.D. We’d have grown up with Full Haus.

I feel I should end on a high note and leave it at that. even though that’s probably the worst of the bunch…
