i stole this picture from danielle.

i suppose I could go into great depth about how going back to Vancouver is always a good time, and that what makes it a good time is spending time with the family I made there. then again, do you really need to go into that type of an explanation for something like that? I think it’s fair to assume that most people have a group of friends they consider their family and when they spend time with them all the things in the world just sort of fit back into the slots they feel they belong in. i went for a few walks around downtown while i was there, and at one point while heading over to the cauldron I had a grin on my face and thought “this is still my city.”

in no particular order, some things that made me happy:

The Crew in all it’s alcohol and food fueled glory.

people walking around everywhere with cameras.

tall buildings.

knowing that it takes longer than ten minutes to drive across town.

crowds of asians.

crowds of italians.

riding the skytrain.

being able to look up and see mountains right over there.

riced up cars instead of jacked up trucks.
