there’s a fly in the house

so May happened.

it involved burgers, ice cream, and trailer trash neighbours.

those neighbours have since moved out, much to our relief. I mean, as entertaining as it can be, it gets kind of annoying when the cops are there every couple of weeks.

Now it’s June.

I need to take my camera out more.

I miss having a bike. I’m pretty sure I’ve thought that once a day or more for the last few weeks. te problem with that is I’m picky about them. I know what I want, and I know how much I need to spend to get it. the issue, of course, being that I don’t have the money to buy one right now. I mean, I can borrow one easily enough, but that’s not quite the same. I should probably take my skates out for a spin too.

June sets up a three month window of constant things happening.

there’s a Provincial Inspectors Championship at work, then a solo road trip for a combo stag and Fubar 5.0, then a month later fly back for Dario and Gina’s wedding, then crunch time for ours, then ours a month later. Then a week of sitting around Fairmont.

Then, as the universe will undoubtedly NOT disappoint, winning a trip to Marseille to drive a Lotus F1 car. I’ve often had the chance to meet many people I wanted to meet and do things I’ve wanted to do, and afterwards said I could die happy. Pretty sure this would trump all of those put together.

there’s a guy down the street who looks EXACTLY like Randy form Trailer Park Boys. seriously. he was mowing his lawn (far, far too short a cut) and I thought, “shit, I didn’t know he had a house here…” like, same gut, no shirt on, tight pants (albeit, blue instead of white), same haircut, same face. I wanted to offer him a cheeseburger so he’d have the energy to finish the whole lawn.

speaking of lawn mowing, it’s a nice morning, it’s rained a ton recently and it decided to grow. It needs to be cut.

here’s the thing about mowing the lawn; people do it wrong all the time. if it’s grown enough that it’s difficult to push the mower, you don’t fucking chop a five inch long grass down to one right away.  you double cut it at different heights. That’s why my lawn doesn’t have piles of dead grass all over it. also why I don’t need to yell at my lawn mower for cutting out when it hits the really dense and long bits.

see? now you’re educated.
